v0.0.1-Class reDesigned
Dear Tetris Dungeon Players,
Tetris Dungeon, created in May this year, started as a prototype enriched with a plethora of mechanics that were tethered to FULLGRID-matching, limiting strategic variety.
Since then, we have redesigned the game mechanics to diversify winning strategies beyond merely "filling up the board".
Currently, there are three main classes representing distinct strategic approaches:
Sword Master:
Closest to the original puzzle concept, this class relies on high-damage puzzle shapes for delivering attacks, supplemented by a selection of accessory and spell cards. Similar to our previous edition, it challenges players to optimize their puzzle skills.
Spell Master:
This class features an array of area-of-effect (AOE) spells for direct enemy damage. With various spell types like arcane and corrosive damage, it's designed to work hand-in-hand with relics to amplify offense. It requires adept card-playing tactics to sequence spells effectively.
Puppet Master:
Drawing parallels to tower defense games, this class involves placing "defense towers," or puppets, on the board. These puppets auto-attack specific tiles at the end of each turn, creating a fun "Plants vs. Zombies" type of gameplay.
Despite improvements, challenges such as unbalanced card effects and sometimes unusable cards remain, creating a sense of loss. To address this, our next version will introduce a hand card cost concept to enhance strategic diversity significantly.
